Monmouth County, New Jersey is home to many unique dining experiences but nothing is quite like the Rum Runner in Sea Bright. First opening in October of 1987 this luxury eatery has just celebrated 30 years of providing one of the best views a restaurant can offer without breaking the bank.
The Rum Runner just reopened in May 2016 after being destroyed in Hurricane Sandy. The building was completely rebuilt from the ground up. Like many other places who were also destroyed in Hurricane Sandy and made a come back, they all have comeback better then ever. Standing tall, covered with large pane windows and beautiful wood this new construction gives the Rum Runner a modern styling that when lit up at night gives a rich glow in the distance. Located right on the water is this restaurants biggest perk as you sit overlooking the Navesink River as you enjoy your meal.
The Rum Runner serves a variety of food catered to American fine family dining with popular food being the Fish Tacos, Lobster & Shrimp Bisque, and Crab Cakes. Their menu does change along with the seasons so be sure to go on their website for the latest menu http://www.mcloonesrumrunner.com/
Alongside having a breathe tasking atmosphere the Rum Runner is also home to some great times and special deals. Hosting live entertainment every Wednesday-Saturday evening. Musicians change from week to week. Their full schedule can be viewed on their website. A holiday favorite, Brunch with Santa will be on Sunday, December 10th from 10:30am-2pm.
