Football is now going into its third week for the NJSIAA State Playoffs and there is one game that is the talk of the Shore. Caseys versus Seraphs. In last Saturday’s match-up between Mater Dei Prep and Pope John XXIII, the Seraphs stood victorious with a final score of 49-14. Red Bank Catholic earned a two-week bye for rest and preparation.

Last year, Red Bank Catholic and Mater Dei Prep made it to the finals at Metlife Stadium. The game brought a record-breaking crowd of fans that cheered with excitement as the two teams faced on the legendary NFL field. At the end of the day, the Caseys were the champions.

Now a year later, history is ready to repeat itself, this Friday, November 22 at 7 pm the score will be settled. The winner will advance to the final round against either Depaul Catholic or Donovan Catholic who will be facing off the same night.

Both teams are stacked with strong and seasoned players that have produced some impressive stats.
