Five Star Perfection at Restaurant Nicholas

In the outskirts of a popular New Jersey town you will find five star perfection that gives taste buds a symphony of flavor. Restaurant Nicholas  has been satisfying customer for 17 years for when they opened in 2000. Their cuisine is a form of nouvelle which is a lighter, more delicate dish and an increased emphasis on presentation. One of the most fond dishes would be Bourbon Braised Suckling Pig, Parisienne Apples, Toasted Pecans, Maple Jus Butternut Squash Gnocchi, Italian Black Truffle, Baby Kale, Mushroom Butter Sauce. If you are looking for more options they also have a seasonal menu that changes throughout the year.

If you are looking for something interesting to do on a Friday night Restaurant Nicholas also offers a few peak events this year such as White Truffle Dinner- Friday, November 10th, Holiday Walk Around Wine Tasting- Thursday, November 16th, and Game Dinner- Thursday, November 30th which  is truly something to experience. In addition to having their events Restaurant Nicholas also offers a sought after bar called Bar N  that offers a $45 three course Menu Tuesdays-Fridays and Sundays.

When talking to Restaurant Nicholas they stated that “Restaurateur Nicholas Harary and his wife Melissa have redefined modern fine dining absent of the big city. Restaurant Nicholas has garnered some of the highest praises from all avenues of the food industry including; four stars from the New York Times, and a 29/30 in both food and service from the Zagat Survey (2005-present). In 2008, AOL named Restaurant Nicholas one of the top 11 restaurants in the country. As Restaurant Nicholas reaches almost 2 decades serving New Jersey residents we can not wait to see what they will have in store for the upcoming years and where Nicholas and Melissa Harary will bring to the restaurant.

Essential Table Score

Atmosphere: 8/10 – The restaurant is beautiful to look at with a very modern but yet classy taste to cater to both an older and younger generation, though it is not on any breathe taking location with no other stores or entertainment within walking distance.
Service Comfort: 10/10 –  Service without a doubt is perfect. Everyone is ready to wait on you like a king/queen and “no” is never in the vocabulary.
Food: 7/10 – This is a hard one, as the food is very good with a lot of flavor in every meal. However they have a limited menu with choices that may not be for everyone. If you are someone who likes big plates of ribs and huge portions, this might not be for you. None the less it is still fitting to give it a very well deserved score.
Value: 6/10 – Restaurant Nicholas has made a large impact the past few years but being more of a formal dinning scenery you are going to pay top dollar for the “experience” and the food customization. This is not a bad quality! Truly depends on what taste do you prefer. For the amount of money you may be able to go to a smaller restaurant and get larger variety with more food but miss out on all the opulence that comes with a five star restaurant. I will mention that if Bar N was the choice they offer a $45 three course menu option which would bring the score to 9/10 but we are focusing on the restaurant alone.
Overall: 31/40 – If you are looking for excellence in experience and a unique but exquisite selection with a rich history then Restaurant Nicholas is your go to place for the next night out on the town.
