NJSIAA Keeps Positive As High School Spring Season May Return In The Future

Sports are the foundation of many high school students. The team camaraderie, the action of being in the moment, and the sheer fun of the energy that comes from the atmosphere. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, the NJSIAA has followed the trend of the other major league and college sports team in postponing the spring season for the time being.

The act of social distancing may be depressing but earlier this week the NJSIAA has released a statement on Twitter stating that the spring season has a possibility of still happening. Below is the tweet directly from the NJSIAA page.

At the moment the NJSIAA is closely watching the updates and making the proper decisions. If the spring sports season returns the calendar and championships will be updated accordingly. The teams will be given six days of practice and one day of rest before the games will begin.

At this time no update has been provided as the COVID-19 cases have risen to 427 positive cases in New Jersey.
