The Robinson Ale House in Red Bank

When going out to eat many people pick and choose on a particular style of food, then go to the location to enjoy that particular cuisine. However good old fashioned american cooking is one of the most loved cuisines especially here in New Jersey “the Diner capital of the world”. Though say your seeking a juice burger or a mouth watering grilled cheese but want something more. where do you go? Formerly known as Murphy’s Grill, The Robinson Ale House has made a name for its self in the ever so popular town of Red Bank, NJ providing excellent comfort food to all of it’s customers.

Opening up in October 2014 right on Broad St., the Robinson Ale House celebrates three great years of catering to the many visitors of Red Bank. This is a restaurant where you can truly indulge in some the american comfort food they offer on their ever changing menu. Whats on the menu you may ask? Well there are many possibilities from craft burgers and fries to a hearty steak however the most popular dish is The Grilled Cheese Bar that gets everyone talking. If six different varieties of grilled cheese to choose from doesn’t hook you maybe there great deals offered will.

Happy Hour is from 4-7 pm Monday through Friday where they offer different specials including 1/2 priced appetizers like Thai Chili Wings, Garlic Mussels, and Parmesan Pretzel Sticks. The Robinson Ale House doesn’t just have  good food, it also has a great seating arrangement where you eat inside or weather permitting sit outside to witness all the unique experiences that Red Bank has to offer. In addition they also hold a hall that can seat up to 40 guests for a small party or get together.

Being a restaurant focusing on comfort they also offer live music every Wednesday from 8-11 pm. This upcoming Wednesday they will be home to Marc Muller a local touring artist.

Essential Table Score

Atmosphere: 6/10 – Being located in the heart of Red Bank there is plenty to see while eating, The design is nice and clean but is still similar to the old grill it replaced.
Service Comfort: 6/10 –  Service is nice with a friendly wait staff.
Food: 6/10 – Food is truly comforting and it is hard to leave the restaurant without smiling. In addition the selection is wide for everybody to choose what they are in the mood for.
Value: 6/10 – Still being a newer place the The Robinson Ale House does offer good deals but is still to early to tell how the eatery will do in the future and the ever changing Red Bank .
Overall: 24/40 – The Robinson Ale House is definitely impressive with its craft food and unique approach to grilled cheese that separates it from others. This is a place you could go everyday and not only enjoy your time there but also not spend a lot of money.
